“228” is a documentary photo series capturing the annual memorial event commemorating the February 28 Incident (1947), a pivotal and traumatic moment in Taiwanese history. Through candid observation and quiet intimacy, the series traces the gestures, expressions, and silences of those who gather—family members, elders, youth, and passersby—each carrying their own relationship to memory, grief, and political identity.
